The
Process
Lumber
Storage
|
We
bring our lumber in by the truckload. It is stored in a dry area
until needed. We rip it and cut it to length if required.
Some
of the wood is finger joined, some is edge glued, and some is
ripped on resaws. All of it goes thru the molders which turns
the rough wood into hundreds of different mouldings.
|
|
Much
of it is sanded, primed, and buffed. All of our moldings are wrapped
into easily handled bundles and stored in our warehouse prior
to shipment.
Many
of these mouldings are available to the public in our retail space.

Operations

|
In
order to run an efficient operation, our equipment needs to be
setup and adjusted properly and well maintained.
Sometimes
this requires building a new machine right from scratch as in
the case of our buffers.
|
|
It
takes dedicated and skilled employees to insure that the molders
are set up properly, which produces a finished product of high
quality and exact dimensions.

| Machinery,
in order to perform properly, must be well maintained. Sometimes
to accomplish a certain process properly, a machine must be built
from scratch or completely modified. |
